The Daniel Defense DD4 M4A1 RIII is a 5.56 NATO semi-automatic rifle built around a fully ambidextrous lower receiver and Daniel Defense RIS III M-LOK handguard. Its 14.5-inch cold hammer forged M4-profile barrel uses a 1:7 twist, chrome lining, heavy phosphate coating, and HP/MPI testing for dependable service use. A mid-length direct impingement gas system, pinned low-profile gas block, M16-profile bolt carrier group, and pinned and welded extended flash suppressor complete the operating system. The rifle includes a six-position stock, soft-touch Daniel Defense furniture, a GRIP-N-RIP charging handle, and a 32-round magazine. Iron sights are sold separately, while the receiver rail supports the addition of an optic.
