Q. Which Shadow Systems models will the Umbra work with?

A. Compatible with: MR, XR, DR & Foundation Shadow Systems platforms (such as MR920, DR920, XR920 models). It is NOT compatible with CR models. The Evolution X Combat or Competition, without the striker, in the 43, 43x, 48 Gen. is a superb drop-in trigger kit for the CR.

Q. What comes in the kit?

A. Everything, it’s a full firing system! Complete Firing pin assembly (Shadow Systems OEM trigger housing and trigger bar), firing pin safety w/ springs, rear housing with receiver & connector, trigger bar and shoe.

Q. Why use Shadow Systems parts instead of Glock parts?

A. Shadow Systems proprietary parts are specifically engineered to work optimally within the Shadow Systems platform. They offer better performance, reliability, and compatibility compared to standard Glock parts.

“Piercing the Iron Curtain.” The article spotlights Shadow Systems’ new California-compliant pistols and gives a big shoutout to the newly developed Johnny Glocks Umbra Trigger Kit — purpose-built for the MR920, XR920, and DR920P platforms. 

The new Johnny Glocks Umbra trigger kit is a complete replacement and will be in their Combat style, with no separate Competition kit. The flatfaced Vex Duex trigger shoe is new, featuring a longer safety dingus with improved fulcrum point and a reduced power spring. There’s also a reduced power firing pin safety spring and three firing pin springs (4, 4.5, and 5 pounds) to dial in your desired feel. All the components are OEM from Shadow Systems and worked over by Johnny to deliver the trigger pull you’ve grown to expect from him. The modified firing pin is an optional upgrade. We installed the complete kit in the MR920, swapping out the firing pin spring to achieve a 4-pound trigger pull.
